Stay Compliant! FMCSA Revokes Six ELDs – Action Required by March 9, 2025

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has officially removed six electronic logging devices (ELDs) from its Registered Devices List, effective January 8, 2025. The revoked devices include:

  • BLUE STAR ELD

  • ROAD STAR SOLUTIONS

  • United Eld

  • Speed ELD

  • TrackEnsure ELD (two devices)

What This Means for You

If your company uses any of these revoked ELDs, you must take immediate action to remain compliant: ✔ Stop using the revoked devices immediately. ✔ Switch to paper logs or logging software to record hours of service. ✔ Replace revoked ELDs with compliant ones from the FMCSA Registered Devices List before March 9, 2025.

Enforcement Timeline

📌 Until March 9, 2025 – Safety officials will not cite drivers for using revoked ELDs. Instead, drivers must provide paper logs or logging software records. 📌 Starting March 9, 2025 – Motor carriers using revoked ELDs will be considered non-compliant and placed out of service per FMCSA regulations.

🚛 Avoid Disruptions – Act Now! 🚛 We strongly encourage all carriers and fleet operators to replace non-compliant ELDs immediately to ensure smooth operations and avoid penalties.
